What “Research Use Only” means
Research Use Only (RUO) means a product is meant for use in a controlled laboratory by people trained to work with research chemicals. RUO compounds have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for safety or effectiveness in humans or animals, and nothing on this site should be read as a claim that they have been.
What our compounds are for
We synthesize and sell our compounds for laboratory experimentation, in-vitro study, analytical reference, and similar non-clinical research. That is the only purpose we sell them for. When you place an order, you confirm that you are buying for legitimate research and not for any use involving a person or an animal.
FDA and regulatory status
None of our products are approved by the FDA or any other regulatory body for human or veterinary use. They are not pharmaceuticals, and we make no claim that any compound treats, cures, prevents, or diagnoses a condition. The FDA regulates products based on how they are marketed and intended to be used, so we keep our descriptions strictly scientific.
Who may buy
To order, you must be at least 21 years old and a qualified researcher working with or on behalf of an accredited academic institution, a commercial laboratory, or a recognized research facility. By placing an order you warrant that this is true, and that you have the training, equipment, and facilities to handle high-purity research chemicals safely. We may ask for credentials or institutional details before we fill an order, and we may decline any order at our discretion.
Uses that are never permitted
You may not use, resell, or relabel our products for any of the following:
- Human consumption, injection, or administration of any kind
- Animal or veterinary use
- Food, beverage, or dietary supplement ingredients
- Drugs, cosmetics, medical devices, or household products
- Any clinical, diagnostic, or therapeutic application
No dosing or usage guidance
Because these products are sold for research only, we do not provide dosing instructions, reconstitution calculators, administration protocols, or any guidance on using a compound in or on a living subject. Our support team cannot answer questions of that kind.
How we describe our products
We describe what a compound is and how it behaves at a molecular level. We do not tie that science to any health benefit or outcome, and any third-party content that does so is not endorsed by us. If you ever see information on this site that reads as a human-use claim, please tell us so we can correct it.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for storing, handling, and disposing of these materials safely, and for following every law and regulation that applies to you, whether local, state, or federal. Compliance in your jurisdiction is your obligation, not ours.
Enforcement
If we see any sign that you intend to use a product in a person or an animal, or to resell it for such use, we will cancel your pending orders, close your account, and decline future business. We may also report conduct that we believe breaks the law.
